Here is a list of questions that we're frequently asked. If your question is not answered below, then feel free to contact us.
Because KALAH is not a martial art, but a self defense and combat system, you don't need any special gear to train in. All you need are some comfortable clothes that you're not too bothered with being stretched and sometimes torn. You can do KALAH in anything you're comfortable with, we even have students that train in the suits! Just to add to realism...
KALAH classes are generally 1 hour long. Special classes or workshops differ however, and can be a few hours in duration.
KALAH should not be viewed as a course, courses are short in duration and don't really teach you anything you'll be able to use in real life. KALAH needs to become second nature, and therefore weekly training is needed. It takes the average person approximately 3 - 4 months to become confident in their ability to apply their skills in real life situations. Training however should ideally never stop, and should become a weekly activity.
Yes. Anyone 18 years and older is eligible to do KALAH. It's not just for law enforcement or big groups, all indiviaduals are welcome. Civilian and law enforcement training differs however.
Because we do this on a full-time basis, and not just as a hobby as some others, our class times are flexible. We do group indiviaduals into groups of similar skill level, but accomodating your time preferences should not be a problem. Best case scenario, we devide you into an existing group, otherwise, we personalize a time that suits you. NOTE that times are subject to availability.

We would recommend that you attend a free demonstration, where we can demonstrate the differences between martial arts and KALAH. Wording differences doesn't work, but expriencing it will make you understand why it's not the same. Please contant us if you'd like to attend a demonstration.
